I joined The Carey Group in 2006 bringing my experience and skills to develop and improve health safety, sustainability and quality. I hold a NEBOSH Diploma and prior to joining the Carey Group held a number of senior safety management roles within the construction industry.

I joined the Board in 2017 as the lead on HSSQ and the senior trusted advisor to the CEO and the Board. Through actively monitoring and promoting the adoption and implementation of the ‘safety first’ culture it ensures that we have a learning environment that enables all our people to get better every day.

I’m committed to teamwork, cooperation and accountability and in every conversation look to build that sense of individual responsibility for workplace safety. I’m all about our people and ensuring that they go ‘Safe Home Every Day’ by looking out for themselves and each other. For me safety is about our physical and mental wellbeing and demonstrating our important value of ‘care’.

I’m passionate about protecting our people and the environment we work in. Looking after our people is our priority, they are after all our greatest asset and its in our name, Careys We Care. I’m immensely proud of the position I hold at Careys and the fabulous projects we create, whilst ensuring sustainability for generations to come.

I live in the home counties with my wife, two daughters and our dogs. We enjoy breaks away taking in the great British outdoors in our caravan, or in the mountains overseas on skiing trips. I don’t tell ‘dad jokes’ only hilarious jokes and I’m sticking to this…
