BDL launch sustainability initiative
Last month, BDL launched a waste saving strategy that positively impacts sustainability, the environment and our vision to be the most trusted and socially responsible construction company that people are proud to work with.
We started by looking at the product we use the most of – plasterboard. The challenge has been laid down to all supervisors to save 20 sheets of plasterboard a week. This will save 18.084tCO2e which is the equivalent of a diesel VW Golf being driven 67,000 miles – that’s 2.7 times around the world!
Over the next 12 months we will be taking each of the products we use and looking at how we can use them more effectively, saving waste and reducing our carbon footprint.
